Brown Qualifies for Intercollegiate Singles National Championship

SMYMA, TN. (3/11/19) – Arkansas State bowling’s Averi Brown qualified for the Intercollegiate Singles National Championship Friday, in Smyrna, TN.

Brown finished second in sectionals, out of 165 bowlers, with a total pinfall of 1,323 on a 220.5 average, when she bowled in six traditional format matches. Brown downed 213, 162, and 245 in the first three the matches, before rounding out the day with scores of 190, 256 and 257.

“I am very proud of Avery”, said A-State head coach Justin Kostick. “Only 24 women make the singles finals and her being one of them as a freshman shows how far her game has elevated through skill and development since being here at Arkansas State.
