JONESBORO, Ark. (1/13/19) – The Arkansas State women’s bowling team wrapped up competition at its host tournament, the Mid-Winter Invitational, Sunday at the Hijinx Family Entertainment Center with a second-place finish.
The Red Wolves squared off the day with a 4-1 (200-160, 244-192, 185-168, 180-155, 214-183) win over Vanderbilt on a 201.2 average. The team advanced to the second round where they would have a “bye” the championship match.
The home team played Vanderbilt again for the championship where they dropped a 4-0 (244-215, 257-146, 213-199, 245-178) decision to the commodores.
Vanderbilt ended the event 12-1, while Sam Houston State finished 10-2.
