JONESBORO, Ark. (9/25/19) – After leading the Arkansas State men’s cross country team to a season-opening third-place finish on Saturday at the Rhodes Invitational, junior Bennett Pascoe has been named the Sun Belt Conference Men’s Runner of the Week, the conference announced Wednesday.
Pascoe clocked a personal-best 8K time of 24:45.7 en route to finishing eighth overall at Rhodes, helping the Red Wolves to 109 points. He makes history as the first Red Wolf to win the men’s runner of the week award. His selection is the first by a Red Wolf cross country runner, male or female, since Anaelle Charles earned the honor in 2018.
