The Sun Belt Conference's top two coaches both reside in The Natural State.
UALR's Chris Beard was named men's Coach of the Year, and Arkansas State's Brian Boyer was named women's Coach of the Year when the league unveiled its postseason awards Tuesday.
Beard won a program-record 27 games and a regular-season title in his first season with UALR. Senior guard Josh Hagins was named to the All-Sun Belt first team, junior guard Marcus Johnson Jr. was named to the second team, and senior forward Roger Woods was named to the third team.
Beard is the third UALR coach to earn the Sun Belt's top coaching honor, joining Steve Shields, who won it in 2003-2004, and Wimp Sanderson, who won it in 1995-1996.
