TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (2/24/18) – The Arkansas State men’s golf team, led by junior Jakub Bares, posted a combined 572 to place it fourth among 14 teams during the opening two rounds of the Seminole Intercollegiate Saturday at the Golden Eagle Country Club.
The 68th-ranked Red Wolves currently sit just six strokes back from third-place James Madison, which carded a 566, and are within seven strokes of second-place Jacksonville, which carded a 565 through the first 36 holes. Ranked No. 20 in the nation, Florida State leads the field with a 557.
Bares led the team after posting consecutive rounds under par and tying for sixth place overall with a 140, which included a 69 and 71 for the first and second rounds, respectively.
