A-State improved to 3-2 on the year after a 9-0 midweek win over Mississippi Valley State. It was the team’s second shutout of the season after a 1-0 win over Illinois State to begin the season. The Red Wolves had three shutouts last season.
The Red Wolves were only able to get five contests of their nine-game home stand to open the 2018 season in as the three-game series against UAB was cancelled before Wednesday’s matchup with Mississippi Valley State was also rained out.
