CONWAY, S.C. (3/26/17) – The Arkansas State baseball team dropped a 6-1 decision to Coastal Carolina in the series finale Sunday afternoon at Springs Brooks Stadium in Conway, S.C.
The loss dropped the Red Wolves to 11-12 on the year and 2-4 in league play, while Coastal improved to 15-9 on the year and 4-2 in conference action. The setback dropped A-State below .500 for the first time this season.
Coastal Carolina began the scoring in the bottom of the first when Wood Myers grounded into a fielder’s choice that looked to be the third out of the inning, but Seth Lancaster was able to beat the toss to the second base bag to allow the run to score.
