A-State improved to 5-3 on the year with its first weekend series win of the year at New Orleans. The Red Wolves dropped a 2-1 decision in 11 innings in the first game of the series before winning 12-3 and 6-3 in the final two games of the set. The games against the Privateers were the team’s first road games of the season.
All four of A-State’s starters last week posted quality starts. Nate Alberius posted his second of the season against Mississippi Valley State in the midweek before the weekend rotation of Bradey Welsh, Coulton Lee, and Peyton Culbertson all followed suit.
