A-State fell to 18-29 on the year after losing two of three to Georgia Southern this past weekend. The Red Wolves are now 9-18 in league play and are 11th in the standings. A-State will need help to get into the SBC Tournament.
Bradey Welsh earned his eighth quality start of the season, which is tied for most on the team with Nate Alberius. Welsh was in line for a win, but Georgia Southern came back to take the lead in game one of the series before A-State battled back to take a 6-5 win.
