JONESBORO, Ark. (3/8/16) – The Arkansas State baseball team’s game against Austin Peay Tuesday night at Tomlinson Stadium/Kell Field was called in the top of the fifth inning two outs away from becoming an official game due to heavy rain in the Jonesboro area.
Arkansas State will remain at 7-5 and Austin Peay remains at 5-6 with none of the stats accumulated counting in the records. A-State was on top 6-2 in the top of the fifth inning with runners on first and second and one out when the umpires pulled the teams off the field. The game was in a delay for about 30 minutes before being called.
