JONESBORO, Ark. (4/3/16) – The Arkansas State baseball team gave up five runs in the in the final four innings as the Red Wolves fell to Louisiana-Lafayette 6-1 Sunday afternoon at Tomlinson Stadium.
Cody Jackson pitched well in his first Sun Belt Conference start of the season and surrendered three runs, just one earned, in 5.2 innings of work. He finished with two strike outs and gave up just two hits but took the loss after allowing a home run in the in the sixth inning.
A-State (13-14, 4-8 SBC) hurt itself with defensive miscues which led to five unearned runs on the afternoon, including an error in the sixth inning that led to two runs that gave the Cajuns the lead for good.
