OXFORD, Miss. (4/18/18) – The Arkansas State baseball team fell behind early and couldn’t recover as No. 7 Ole Miss plated seven runs in the first two innings on its way to a 10-3 win over the Red Wolves in midweek action Wednesday night at Oxford-University Stadium/Swayze Field in Oxford, Miss.
The Rebels (30-8) opened the scoring with three runs on three hits in the bottom of the first as A-State (12-21) starter Zachary Patterson was a bit unlucky as two of the three base knocks were infield singles. Andrew Leggo swatted his first career home run in the top of the second with an opposite-field shot over the right-field bullpen to make the score 3-1.
