@AStateBaseball Downed by Memphis in Midweek Action

JONESBORO, Ark. (4/11/18) – The Arkansas State baseball team out hit Memphis, but committed a key error in a 6-3 loss Wednesday night at Tomlinson Stadium in Jonesboro as the Red Wolves lost back-to-back games to the Tigers.

A-State (11-18) out hit the Tigers 11-10, but still found the wrong side of the scoreboard after dropping a 4-1 decision at Memphis (11-23) Tuesday night as the teams played back-to-back games for the first time since 2011.

Carter Holt made his first career start and gave up five runs, but all were unearned. The Tigers led off with a walk, and tried to bunt, but an errant throw from catcher Andrew Lannon, that would have forced out the lead runner, proved to be a big mistake.
