ARLINGTON, Texas (1/24/25) – The fifth-ranked Arkansas State women's bowling team earned wins over No. 1 Vanderbilt and No. 3 Nebraska to highlight the first day of the Prairie View Invitational.

A-State (53-17) downed 5,253 pins for an average of 210.1 to rank third behind Jacksonville State (5,467) and Sam Houston (5,265). Vanderbilt (5,247), North Carolina A&T (5,225), Youngstown State (5,115), Nebraska (5,111), Louisiana Tech (5,070), Maryville (5,024), Duquesne (4,838), Prairie View A&M (4,538) and Texas Southern (4,321) round out the 12-team field.

Opening the day against No. 1 Vanderbilt, A-State took the match 1,032-991. Trailing by six pins after the first game, the Red Wolves had a higher total over the next four games to set the final margin of 41 pins, including a 23-pin advantage of 225-202 in game five.
