Arkansas State men fall in Sun Belt Tournament final

The Arkansas State men’s basketball team fell one win short of the Sun Belt championship and an automatic NCAA Tournament berth when it fell 94-81 Monday night to Troy at the Pensacola Bay Center in Pensacola, Fla. The Red Wolves led 66-58 with 10:07 to play after a three-pointer by Derrian Ford, but the Trojans ended the game on a 36-15 run.

Tayton Conerway, the Sun Belt Player of the Year, scored 21 points for Troy (23-10) while Myles Rigsby tallied 20. Thomas Dowd put up 14 points, Jackson Fields supplied 10 and Marcus Rigsby Jr. had 8.
