JONESBORO, Ark. (12/28/20) – Arkansas State senior wide receiver Jonathan Adams Jr. was named Monday as an Associated Press (AP) All-America selection, earning second-team honors.
Adams is the first A-State player to be named an AP First or Second Team All-America since former offensive lineman Jim Wiseman and defensive lineman Charlie Fredrick both garnered first-team recognition in 1987. However, former wide receiver Omar Bayless was a third-team pick in 2019 to give the Red Wolves an AP All-America pick each of the last two years.
Last week, Adams was named the 2020 Sun Belt Conference Offensive Player of the Year and a Pro Football Focus (PFF) Honorable Mention All-America selection.
