SAN MARCOS, Texas (5/29/16) – Arkansas State’s Ty White and Tony Ortiz were named to the 2016 Sun Belt Conference All-Tournament Baseball Team, which was announced at the conclusion of Sunday’s championship game at Bobcat Ballpark in San Marcos, Texas.
White, a native of Gladstone, Mo., had a fantastic tournament with a .529 batting average (9-for-17) and led the team in hits (9), runs (8), total bases (15), triples (3), and steals (2). The senior outfielder posted a .882 slugging percentage, reached base at a .600 clip, and drove in four runs.
