JONESBORO, Ark. (10/9/24) – Following a career-best performance on Saturday, Arkansas State cross country's Jacob Pyeatt was named Sun Belt Conference Men's Runner of the Week, the league office announced Wednesday.
The Mountain Home native placed second in the men's 8K at Saturday's Live in Lou Classic, running a career-best 23:34.5 – over 20 seconds faster than his previous best. Wednesday's honor is Pyeatt's second career cross country weekly honor – his first since Oct. 19, 2022.
Behind Pyeatt's performance, A-State placed 10th in the men's team standings in a field that included 15th-ranked Michigan.
