A-State Women’s Basketball All-50 Year Team Revealed

JONESBORO, Ark. (11/13/24) – Arkansas State women's basketball announced the All-50 Year Team on Wednesday afternoon to celebrate the 50th anniversary of women's sports at Arkansas State University.

The team is highlighted by 12 all-conference selections, six A-State Athletics Hall of Honor inductees, three Sun Belt Conference Players of the Year, both All-American honorees, and a WNBA second-round draft pick. To qualify, a player must have graduated from A-State and/or exhausted their eligibility with the program.

The women's basketball program began when women's sports were introduced in 1974-75, with Kay Woodiel leading the program along with volleyball and women's tennis.
