JONESBORO, Ark. (5/18/17) – Entrants for the 2017 NCAA West Region Preliminary Championships were finalized Thursday and the Arkansas State University track and field program will send six men and six women to the meet at the University of Texas, May 25-27.
The combined 12 entrants will compete in 15 total events, the third-most in program history. This marks the third-straight season that the Red Wolves will have entrants in 15 or more events.
Brianna Hardiman (400m), Shemiah Brooks (100m hurdles/long jump), Darragh May (high jump), Viktoriia Sadokhina (triple jump), Erin Farmer (shot put) and Calea Carr (discus throw/shot put) have qualified for the women's meet while Jaylen Bacon (100m/200m), Nick Hilson (400m hurdles), Tiaan Steenkamp (high jump), Michael Carr (pole vault), Cristian Ravar Ladislau (hammer throw) and Chris Collins (javelin throw) will compete on the men's side.
