ARLINGTON, Texas (4/7/19) – The Arkansas State women’s tennis team suffered a 4-0 setback at UT Arlington Sunday.
Dodging rain much of the match, the Mavericks gained an early advantage in the match by taking the doubles’ points with victories on courts one and three. Anita Detlava and Berta Masdevall Masip dropped their doubles’ match 6-0 to start the day on court one while Pornpawee Pramethong and Amelia Guervremont lost 6-4 on court three. Shelby King and Shannon O’Brien were tied 4-4 on court four when UTA clinched the doubles’ point.
In singles’ competition, UTA won each of the three matches that were completed to finish off the 4-0 victory.
