CARBONDALE, Ill. (2/26/16) – The Arkansas State tennis team lost to Southern Illinois by a score of 4-0 to Southern Illinois Saturday afternoon at the Garden Grove Events Center.
The Red Wolves had their strongest effort of the year in the doubles’ point with Victoria Pisani and Shelby King battling Athena Chrysanthou and Yana Golovkina to a tiebreaker set. The pair eventually dropped the match 7-6 (3). Sofia Krsmanovic and Sabina Jeresic also appeared to be on their way to a match victory but were unable to finish the set when their match was called due to the doubles’ point being decided.
