PEARLAND, Texas (10/10/17) – The Arkansas State men’s golf team finished second among 15 teams at the Bayou City Collegiate Classic after shooting a final-round 288 Tuesday afternoon, ending the 54-hole tournament with a combined 857. A-State’s 857 total was its lowest three-round score since recording an 852 at the Bob Sitton Invitational last season, a span of six tournaments.
The Red Wolves finished just seven strokes behind tournament champion Lipscomb and five strokes ahead of Houston and Sam Houston State, which tied for 3rd place. The Red Wolves have now claimed back-to-back runner up finishes and placed among the top-five in all three tournaments this season.
