JONESBORO, Ark. (4/4/17) – Arkansas State men’s sophomore golfer Matthew Cole took home medalist honors as the Red Wolves finished in first and second place in the final team standings of the Red Wolves Intercollegiate at RidgePointe Country Club.
A-State’s winning ‘B’ team posted a final score of 880 (+16), while the ‘A’ finished in second place with a score of 882 (+18). UT Martin and Missouri State finished in a tie for third place with scores of 890 (+26), while SIU Edwardsville rounded out the top-5 with a score of 893 (+29).
Cole, who was the only player to finish under-par for the tournament, turned in a three round total of 213 (-3) to edge Murray State’s Matt Zakutney by three strokes.
