MEMPHIS, Tenn. (9/21/19) – In the season opener for Arkansas State cross country, both squads earned top-five finishes at the Rhodes Cross Country Invitational on Saturday morning at Shelby Farms Park.
A-State’s men earned a third-place finish with 109 points, while the women placed fourth as a squad with 107 points.
“I’m super excited,” cross country coach Jesse Duvall said. “I’m very cautiously optimistic about how we opened up. I thought we opened up in about the kind of shape I expected, and today sets us up well moving forward. I’m happy that we waited this long to get started.
