A-State Falls 60-56 to South Alabama

JONESBORO, Ark. (2/19/25) – Izaiyah Nelson recorded his second straight double-double, but the Arkansas State men's basketball team ultimately dropped a 60-56 outcome to South Alabama Wednesday night inside First National Bank Arena.

Nelson led the Red Wolves (19-9, 10-5 SBC) with 16 points and 23 boards – the most by an A-State player since Norchad Omier's 26 rebounds against ULM on Feb. 3, 2022, and tied for sixth most in a single game in program history. Joseph Pinion led all players in scoring with 17 points on five made 3-pointers.
