A-State Drops Tough Four-Set Decision At Texas State

SAN MARCOS, Texas (11/9/19) – On Saturday night, the Arkansas State volleyball team dropped a hard-fought 3-1 (25-22, 15-25, 19-25, 18-25) decision at Texas State at Strahan Arena.

After taking a strong first set, the Red Wolves (15-11, 6-8 SBC) fought valiantly against the conference-leading Bobcats (21-8, 13-2), but 11 service errors combined with 11.0 total blocks by the home squad proved key in the match.

Two A-State hitters factored in double-digit kills, led by 12 by Macey Putt who also tallied a team-high 3.0 blocks. Paulina Sobolewska added 10 kills on the night while Timber Terrell totaled eight.
