A-State Drops In-State Matchup to UCA

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (2/15/19) – The Arkansas State women’s tennis team dropped a 5-1 decision to Central Arkansas in a non-conference tennis match Friday afternoon at Burns Park.

Despite only winning one singles match, the Red Wolves took the matches on courts one, three and five to three sets, losing each by just two games. On court one Pornpawee Pramethong lost to Fuka Nonoyama 6-1, 4-6, 7-5, while Anita Detlava lost to Marli Van Heerden 6-4, 3-6, 6-4 on court three. On court five Shannon O'Brien lost to Rada Manataweewat 2-6, 6-2, 6-4.

In other singles’ matches, Shelby King lost to Mei Ishimura 6-3, 6-4 on court two, while Berta Masdevall Masip fell to Yada Vasupongchai 6-2, 6-0 on court two.
