JONESBORO, Ark. (2/13/16) – The Arkansas State women’s golf team shot a second-round 302 Saturday at the FGCU Eagle Invitational, ending the tournament’s second day of competition in sixth place with a combined 612.
The Red Wolves not only cut eight strokes off their first-round total, they tied the second lowest score of the day among all 15 teams. A-State took over sole possession of sixth place after ending Friday’s opening 18 holes tied at the spot with Southern Illinois.
A-State will enter Sunday’s third and final round just two strokes behind fifth-place Xavier and within five of second-place Toledo.
