DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (4/17/21) – Opening play at the Sun Belt Conference Women's Golf Championship, the Arkansas State women's golf team shot a first-round 297 on the Arthur Hills Course at the LPGA International to put it in fifth place among 11 teams.
The Red Wolves were led by three players completing the three-day tournament's initial round among the top-20 individual leaders, including Grayson Gladden in a tie for 12th place.
A-State ended the day the with a four-stroke lead over Troy for fifth place. The Red Wolves are two strokes of fourth-place South Alabama, while Texas State leads the field with a 279.
