HOT SPRINGS VILLAGE, Ark. (10/30/16) – Arkansas State shot a first-round 310 Sunday at the Diamante Country Club, completing the Little Rock Women’s Golf Classic’s opening day of play tied for 11th place among 16 teams.
The Red Wolves, participating in their last fall tournament this season, are currently tied with Wichita State and within 10 strokes of Little Rock and Houston Baptist, which are tied for fifth place. UTEP sits atop the leaderboard with a 295, while UMKC stands second with a 296 and Central Arkansas third with a 298.
Aracelly Jimenez Rios leads A-State in a tie for 17th place after shooting a 75, although her teammates Beth Ann Compton and Grayson Gladden are only one stroke behind her as each posted a 76 to put them in a tie for 28th place.
