History in the Making:
A-State leads the all-time series with Central Arkansas by a count of 20-15 in a series that began during the 1948 season. UCA, then known by Arkansas State Teachers College, won both games by scores of 4-3 in 13 innings and 8-2. Arkan-sas State lost 6-0 in Conway in 1949, but got its first win in the series by a score of 8-6 in Jonesboro.
The two teams split two games in each of the 1950, 1951, 1958, 1959, and 1963 seasons. The Red Wolves and Bears played in the 1962 Southwest Regional withCentral Arkansas winning 5-3.
