A-State Athletics Honors Student-Athletes at 6th Annual “The stAte Awards”

JONESBORO, Ark. (4/30/18) – The Arkansas State Athletics Department hosted its 6th Annual “The stAte Awards” Monday night at First National Bank Arena, celebrating the Red Wolves’ academic success, athletic achievements and community service while also presenting senior rings and announcing its major award winners for the 2017-18 year.

Senior women’s bowling All-American and NTCA Division I Player of the Year Jordan Richard and senior track and field star Jaylen Bacon were named the recipients of the Terry Gwin Award. A four-time All-American, Bacon received the honor for the second consecutive year. The award is named after former football player Terry Gwin and based on leadership, citizenship, scholarship and athletic performance.
