JONESBORO, Ark. (2/6/19) – Arkansas State head football coach Blake Anderson announced Wednesday the addition of four high school standouts and two junior college transfers to the Red Wolves 2019 recruiting class, which now includes 23 players from 10 different states.
Four offensive players made up the high school student-athletes who signed with A-State on the Feb. 6 National Signing Day. Joining the class were Grapevine (Texas) wide receiver David Clayton, Magnolia West (Texas) wideout Seth Hayes, Little Rock Catholic running back Samy Johnson and Scott Central (Miss.) offensive lineman Carson Williams.
Clayton completed his three-year varsity career with 197 receptions for 2,797 yards and 42 touchdowns, while Hayes was a First Team All-District 8-5A choice in 2018 after posting nine touchdowns on 34 of his catches.
