LEADING OFF: The Arkansas State Red Wolves baseball team is set to begin the 2016 season with a three-game set at UAB. A-State trails the all-time series 4-3 against the Blazers, but won the final game of a three-game series in 2014 at Regions Field to carry a one game winning streak in Friday’s matchup. A-State’s rotation will feature Tyler Zuber (Fri.), Adam Grantham (Sat.) and Bryan Ayers (Sun.). UAB has only named freshman Tanner Graham as the Friday starter. Friday and Sunday’s contest can be heard locally on 95.3 FM/970 AM in Jonesboro and around the world on AStateRedWolves.
