FAYETTEVILLE — Arkansas athletics director Hunter Yurachek was in a happy mood when he spoke at the Fayetteville Chamber of Commerce State of Athletics luncheon Tuesday.
Hours earlier, Yurachek returned on a late-night flight from Stillwater, Okla., where he watched the Razorbacks’ baseball team defeat Oklahoma State 7-3 in the championship game of the NCAA regional at O’Brate Stadium.
“Man, it was just exciting,” Yurachek said. “It was a team that battled all weekend in a tough environment in some really intense college baseball games.
“I would say postseason college baseball games are some of the most stressful things to watch and to play because so much rides on every single pitch, especially when you’re competing against a team as good as Oklahoma State was in their venue.
