Yurachek: No furloughs, pay cuts for staff members

FAYETTEVILLE — The University of Arkansas has not been forced into salary-cutting measures to mitigate the financial effect of the covid-19 pandemic.

No member of the university staff has been furloughed and there have been no salary adjustments or reductions to date, UA athletics director Hunter Yurachek said Wednesday during a teleconference with reporters.

“We’ve done a great job — and those that came before me — in putting some money aside, both within the foundation and within the department, putting reserves aside to cover any shortfalls that we may have in this current fiscal year,” he said.
