If you had told an Arkansas baseball fan that the Hogs would follow up Friday night’s lackluster offensive performance with another two-run outing on Saturday, they might express some verbal displeasure or, like many did, take to social media to gripe over the offensive woes.
Thankfully for those fans, TCU’s bats were just as quiet, largely in part to a stellar outing from Zach Root, and a spark from Kuhio Aloy was all the not-so-hammerin’ Hogs needed in a 2-1 victory over the No. 22 Horned Frogs.
One of Arkansas’ three hits in the game, It was Aloy’s pinch-hit two-run double in the top of the seventh that gave the Hogs the lead.
