A Brandy Montgomery 3-pointer with 10 seconds left forced overtime for Auburn and the Tigers proceeded to outscore Arkansas 15 to 4 in overtime to win, 71-60, at Auburn on Saturday afternoon.
The loss dropped Arkansas (9-11, 4-3) out of a tie for second place in the Southeastern Conference and snapped the Razorbacks’ three-game winning streak. Auburn (13-7, 3-4) snapped a two-game losing streak at the same time.
Arkansas had taken a three-point lead with 15 seconds left in regulation after Kelsey Brooks made a shot from beyond the arc. Auburn took an immediate timeout and set up the play for Montgomery, who had just checked into the game.
