FAYETTEVILLE— With 6:38 remaining in the third quarter of Saturday’s season opener between Arkansas and Cincinnati, Razorbacks quarterback KJ Jefferson fumbled at his own 8.

The Bearcats recovered the loose ball, setting up a first-and-goal situation from the Arkansas 3 with a chance to tie the game. Cincinnati had gone 71 yards the previous drive, capped with a Ben Bryant 35-yard touchdown pass to Nick Marder.

Down 21-14, it seemed as if the visiting team was finally finding its groove on offense after a scoreless first half.
