Winter storm not expected to affect Arkansas basketball game

FAYETTEVILLE — A winter storm in Fayetteville is not expected to delay Tuesday's basketball game between No. 24 Arkansas and Florida.

The storm produced more than 4 inches of snow and is expected to include dangerous wind chills of as low as minus-25 degrees in Fayetteville on Monday, but Arkansas coach Eric Musselman said he expects the game will be played. Tipoff is scheduled for 6 p.m. at Bud Walton Arena.

“The airport’s open,” Musselman said. “I don’t see any reason why we wouldn’t be playing the game.”

Some flights into Northwest Arkansas were canceled or diverted Monday, but Florida’s flight into Northwest Arkansas National Airport is scheduled to land at 7:20 p.
