FAYETTEVILLE – There is something in the voice of Jonathan Williams that makes people automatically believe him. Forget his on-the-field skill. It’s that sincere tone and the team-first type words that earned Williams so many captain votes from his teammates.
The senior running back spoke with the media for the first time since injuring his foot in Arkansas’ first fall scrimmage two Saturdays ago. The injury will keep him, a second-team All-SEC media selection, out for the entire regular season.
“I’m definitely still 100 percent on this football team,” Williams said. “Later in the season, if I’m fully cleared and I feel good about being able to play and being healthy, then I would definitely try to play.
