D.J. Williams signed with the Washington Redskins after a workout with the team Sunday.
The former Arkansas tight end was a fifth-round pick by the Green Bay Packers in the 2011 NFL Draft and he most recently played for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2014.
Since being cut by the Bucs, Williams has worked with KARK 4 News, a television news station in Little Rock, his hometown.
During his NFL career, Williams caught nine passes for 70 yards while serving primarily as a blocking tight end. He has spent time with the Packers, Buccaneers, Jacksonville Jaguars and New England Patriots.
