FAYETTEVILLE – Jonathan Williams’ regular season is over.
The Arkansas senior running back was called as out for the season Monday by coach Bret Bielema two days after injuring his foot in the team’s first fall scrimmage. Williams will have to undergo surgery and have a screw inserted to his foot.
“It was a bad day for J-Will yesterday,” Bielema said. “I know we shed a few tears together. I’m sure he shed a lot by himself. I think the crying aspect of it was done last night about 10 o’clock.”
Williams was named second-team All-Southeastern conference last month at SEC Media Days.
