On a night the Aloy brothers homered in the same inning for Arkansas, it was Kansas State’s Dean “brothers” who were the heroes Friday night.
Wehiwa and Kuhio Aloy tied the game with a pair of solo home runs in the sixth inning, but the Wildcats immediately answered and then hung on for a 3-2 upset of the No. 5 Razorbacks at the College Baseball Series in Arlington, Texas.
The two long balls had the pro-Arkansas crowd inside Globe Life Field going crazy and momentum seemed to be firmly on the Razorbacks’ side, but Blake Dean came out of the bullpen to settle things down and Micah Dean — no relation — delivered the go-ahead RBI in the seventh.
