FAYETTEVILLE — Arkansas dug itself quite the hole in Friday’s series-opener against Charlotte.
Rather than chipping away at their eight-run deficit, the No. 4 Razorbacks erased it in one fell swoop with a 10-run fourth inning and then hung on for an 11-10 win over the 49ers at Baum-Walker Stadium.
It was the largest comeback for Arkansas baseball since 2017, when it rallied from down nine to beat Louisiana Tech on the road. In that game, the Razorbacks trailed 10-1 through two innings and overcame it with two runs in the fourth, five in the fifth and four in the seventh before tacking on an insurance run in the ninth.
