FAYETTEVILLE — The Arkansas women’s track and field program has a long tradition of winning at the highest levels. Amber Anning, Rosey Effiong, Nickisha Pryce and Kaylyn Brown added to the allure that coach Chris Johnson continued with the Razorbacks in his first year as head coach, which brought hardware to Fayetteville from far and wide.

The women’s 400 at the NCAA outdoor championships on June 8 — the 2024 WholeHogSports Performance of the Year — was a chief example of the record-breaking times that have long shaped Johnson’s program.

“I’m fortunate right now,” Johnson said on ESPN during the trophy presentation.
