FAYETTEVILLE — At different times during the season, Arkansas basketball coach Eric Musselman has opined that Jimmy Whitt was the best rebounding guard in college basketball and had the best mid-range game, too.
Both were on full display Wednesday night as Whitt finished with 26 points, 15 rebounds, 5 assists and 3 steals on Senior Night as the Razorbacks downed LSU 99-90 at Bud Walton Arena.
Whitt, who played his freshman season at Arkansas then transferred to SMU before returning to Fayetteville as a graduate transfer, was 9-of-17 from field and 8-of-12 from the free throw line while also grabbing 14 defensive rebounds and playing 37-plus minutes.
