OMAHA, Neb. — Tony Vitello is finally at the College World Series.
The second-year Arkansas assistant coach had just missed the pinnacle of college baseball several times before finally breaking through this season.
Now he is here with not just one, but two teams he helped assemble. In addition to Arkansas, Vitello's former team, TCU, is playing this weekend at TD Ameritrade Park.
"It's a little bit of an asterisk," Vitello said of knowing so many players at the event. "It's a little bit different and it will be unique seeing some of those guys."
Vitello was a three-year assistant coach for the Horned Frogs from 2011-13.
