James McCann has seemingly saved his best for his former Arkansas teammates this season.
After hitting a home run off Drew Smyly in May and hitting a home run in a game against Brett Eibner in June, McCann hit his first career grand slam Sunday off Dallas Keuchel. The home run capped a 6-run first inning in the Tigers' 11-0 win over the Astros.
McCann was 1-for-3 in his career against Keuchel entering Sunday's game. He drew a walk in his second and final at-bat against the left-hander.
McCann has been on a power surge this week, with three home runs in the past four games.
